Air-conditioner and refrigerators are common household appliances, air-conditioning system also plays an essential part of commercial buildings. The demand for air-conditioning and refrigeration talents is continually high, particularly the raise of public concern on ventilation system.

Study Arrangement^{^}

The first year	Participants will study a full-time Diploma of Vocational Education (DVE) programme at the Youth College.
The second to third years	Participants will be employed by the participating companies as apprentices. Employers will sponsor apprentices to study the relevant part time programme^{^}.
The fourth year^$	Full time on the job training; Employer may sponsor apprentices to study the relevant part time programme^{^}.

Allowance & Salary*

The first year	Participants will receive $1,400 subsidy from the employers for a total of 11 months.
The second to fourth years^$	Participants will receive a total subsidy of $15,400 from their employers, a guaranteed monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $2,500^& Government Allowance. The total monthly income can reach up to $10,000.


The first year of training A subsidy* of $1,400 per month for a total of 11 months	$1,400 Monthly
The second year of training Monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $2,000^& Government Allowance	Monthly average $10,000 or above
The third year of training Monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $2,500^& Government Allowance	Monthly average $10,500 or above
The fourth year of training^$ Monthly salary not less than $8,000^# and an average of $3,000^& Government Allowance	Monthly average $11,000 or above
An additional subsidy after completion of 6 consecutive months training in the second year	$15,400

^$The fourth year arrangement is subject to the mutual agreement between Employer and Trainee
^ Trainee may obtain more than one qualification during the apprenticeship training, including CVE, DVE, DVE-ELS, Prof. Cert and Prof. Dip.
* Mode of issuing subsidy and Government Allowance may vary across trades and industries. A maximum total subsidy of $30,800 from the Construction Industry Council (CIC) will be given to participants of TSS.
^# For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, the guaranteed monthly salary will be adjusted to $9,000.
^& For apprentices who join the VTC Earn & Learn Scheme on or after 1 April 2024, they will be entitled to the Monthly Apprenticeship Training Allowance of $1,000 per month during the apprenticeship.

Tuition Fee
